Twitter restricts account of Taliban Deputy information minister, Zabihullah Mujahid.
Twitter has restricted the account of Deputy Minister of Information, the group’s spokesman revealed just about two hours ago. As usual, Twitter’s notification for the restriction reads, “you’re seeing this warning because there has been some unusual activity from this
account”.
There has been growing concerns why Twitter allowed several Taliban officials to use the platform when account of former President of the United States, Donald Trump had been suspended on January 6. Trump yesterday sued the platform for censorship, asking a Florida federal Judge to force Twitter to restore his account. There have been very disturbing reports coming from Afghanistan since Taliban toppled Ashrah Ghani’s government after American troops retreated from a two decade war. And majority of people can’t comprehend reasons why most of Taliban officials continue to use the giant social media platform.
