UB40 founding member and vocalist, Astro has died

Terence Astro Wilson, best known for his role in the British reggae group, UB40 has passed away. Astro gave up the ghost after a “very short illness” according to his current band. He was 64years old.

UB40 is a well known reggae band worldwide. The band was nominated four times for Grammys. They topped the United Kingdom chart with some global covers, including popular Red Red Wine, I Got You Babe, Falling In Love With you and many more hit reggae songs.

The main band also confirmed it on their twitter page. “We have heard tonight, the sad news that ex-member of UB40, Terence Wilson better known as Astro has passed away after a shot illness. Our sincere condolences to the family” UB40 posted

The reggae band tweeted a while ago to confirm the tragic incident, with a very emotional message, saying “the world will never be the same without him”

“We are absolutely devastated and completely heartbroken to have to tell you that our beloved Astro has today passed away after a very short illness. The world will never be the same without him. We ask to please respect his family’s privacy at this incredibly difficult time” the reggae band posted on their page
