US to donate $64 million in ‘humanitarian aid’ to Afghanistan. The United States of America announced on Monday it will send close to 64 million United States dollars to Afghanistan. A statement released confirmed the funding from ‘U.S Agency for International Development, USAID and the U.S Department of State”
The statement said the funds will be channelled through independent organizations such as NGOs and the United Nations. The secretary General later revealed the organization was going to fall on its partners and other international bodies to help ‘Afghan children, women and citizens’.
They met in Geneva on Monday, September 13 where a “high level conference” was held. It was agreed that they would fund Afghanistan $600million Nations to raise $600million for Afghanistan after Taliban power seizure
