Facebook rebrands, change name to Mata.
Social media giant company, renames its company as Meta. The company says Meta is the future of technology which would help “build a future where people have more ways to play and connect in the Metaverse”
The company changed its name on all social media platforms to Meta, including its own account on Facebook, with a logo which looks like that of infinity.
Meta says its new platform is the next evolution of social connection and they’ll be working with people all over the world. “The metaverse is the next evolution of social connection. It is a collective project that will be created by people all over the world and open to everyone. You’ll be able to socialize, learn, collaborate and play in ways that go beyond what is possible today”

So basically the company’s social media apps, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and messenger will all remain the same.
