(Video) Two dead after galamsey pit caves in at Juaboso
At least two persons are confirmed dead after one galamsey pit collapsed in Juaboso in the Western North Region of Ghana.
This sad incident was confirmed by medical officers of Juaboso Government Hospital. The tragic incident happened at Campso, a farming community in the Juaboso District.
The deceased, Haruna Gariba who is 25 and Abubakari Gariba 37 were working together on the illegal mining site when a section of the galamsey pit collapsed. The police and community folks tried had and rescued the victims but they were pronounced dead few hours after they were receiving treatment at the Hospital.

The mining concession owner have been arrested by the police and assisting in investigations. Bodies of these two have also been deposited at Juaboso Government morgue awaiting autopsy.
