We’re focused on the substance & Would pass this LGBTQ bill – Sam George

Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Hon Samuel Nartey George has come under criticisms for being the lead MP, pushing for LGBTQI activities to be criminalized in Ghana.

Months ago, the MP together with his colleagues, eight in number submitted a bill to Ghana Speaker of Parliament during a ceremony that was held to pray against the practice in Ghana.

Now as we speak, the bill will soon be officially put before parliament of Ghana to be debated and then passed into law. In the bill, people who are found culpable of gay activities could suffer 10year jail them and some other serious fines.

The mp has come under massive pressure but to him, he’s still standing and keeping his beliefs and as far as he’s concerned, the bill will surely be passed into law.

“we’re focused on the substance and would pass the bill” the mp revealed.

In as much as people think this bill would devide Ghanaians, majority of Ghanaians are fully in support for the bill to be passed as soon as possible
