West Ham defender Kurt Zouma sentenced for kicking and slapping his cat

Kurt Zouma and his brother are banned from owning cats for five years

West Ham defender Kurt Zouma has been sentenced for kicking and slapping his cat. The West Ham United star was seen in a viral video in February 2022 kicking his cat like football, saying “I will kill it”

He received a 12 month community order at Thames Magistrate Court hours ago. Kurt Zouma will carry out 180hours of community service. He has also been banned from owning cats for five years.

His younger brother who posted the video on his Tiktok page was also sentenced to a 12months community order with 140hours of unpaid work. He will also not be able own a cat in the next five years.

According to Rob Jones of Sky Ports, the presiding judge described his actions against the cat as “disgusting and a deliberate attempt to cause suffering” to his cat.

Zouma was charged with two counts after pleading guilty to the charges.
