Monkeypox virus is spreading so quickly than experts expected but why is that so?.
Monkeypox is currently spreading in developed countries eg. the United States, Canada, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom.
It causes enlarged lymph nodes, fever, body aches or painful fluid filled blisters on the hands, feet and on the face.
Reports that people are normally infected in Africa especially in West Africa and Central Africa so first case recorded in the United Kingdom was big surprise to medical experts. Though one patient of the monkeypox virus travelled from West Africa precisely Nigeria to UK, other cases reported had no contact/s with the patient.

As of May 20, 2022, the number of cases in the United Kingdom have doubled according to the UK Security Health Agency, UKHSA.
“The latest cases brings the number of monkeypox cases confirmed in England since 6 May to 20. The infection can be passed on through close contact or contact with clothing linens used by a person who has monkeypox” the UK government published on their website.
