Member of European Parliament Clare Daly is out again with another daring speech, this time criticising super powerful nations of making Africa a weapon zone.
Clare Daly believe the presence of military bases of Europeans, of United States and Saudi Arabia is not a matter of importance or better still not necessary.
The maverick Member of Parliament said Africa is currently facing climate change and insecurity and to her, these and many problems are of importance to the continent than military bases and weapons which are springing up across the continent.
She revealed how Djibouti is a victim, and these bases are for the United States, Germany, UK, France, Japan and Saudi Arabia etc.
“I don’t think you have to be a genius to know the last thing the horn of Africa needs is more foreign military bases, more weapons and more European meddling” Clare said

She continued, stating how more Western and European military bases are springing up on the continent instead of something beneficial. “There is now a new great game in the Horn of Africa. Greater amd lesser powers are pockmarking the place with military bases. France, the US, China, Germany, Japan, Italy, Saudi Arabia, all have a presence in the tiny area of Djibouti alone. We talk about instability but we only make it worse”
