According to former player of Ghana black stars, Charles Taylor, Hudson Odoi who currently plays for Chelsea will end his career the very moment he decides to play for Ghana. ‘Ghana is ending career ‘ he noted.
The 20year old with Ghanaian ancestry visited Ghana weeks ago after Chelsea was crowned champions of Europe. He was welcomed by many of his fans, including musician King promise who escorted him from England to Ghana. Reports also has it that his father, Bismark odoi played for Hearts of Oak way back in the 90s before departing the country to England where he settled.
Just days into his visit, the young football star visited Jubilee House where he met President Nana Akufo-Addo who had interest in the lad playing for the senior team.
But Charles Taylor who featured in 16 games for the senior team has advised Hudson Odoi to stay off the Black Stars camp if he wants his football career to blossom.
“If Odoi is listening to me, I will advise him not to think of playing for the Bkack stars. He should continue playing for England even if it is under 100, he should play for them than to play for the Black Stars. Ghana is ending career” Taylor told Angel FM.
Asking Hudson Odoi about the possibility of him playing for the senior team, he gave ‘a sitting on the fence answer’
“England came and I said yeah, let me go and play for my country. But I said Ghana is my home as well so we’ll see, we’ll see. You’ll never know. Anything can happen. When they gave me the opportunity to come I was in the country already. Its something that I already had in my mind set on already playing for England. So it was the thing obviously choosing Ghana or England and at the end of the day I said I always had the right people around who always advise me on what’s right and what’s wrong” Hudson revealed.
