Yul Edochie: Hunger and poverty make people do crimes not Nollywood

Famous Nigerian Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has taken to his social media page to slam those blaming Nollywood for the endless ritual killings in the country.
Yul Edochie disclosed on his Instagram handle that he first heard about ritual killings in Nigeria when he was very young in the 80s and at the moment, adding that there was no Nollywood existence.

The Nollywood actor asserted that the main cause of crime in Nigeria is poverty and hunger and not the movie industry as it being proclaimed and he clarified that Nollywood only act what goes on in society.
He disclosed that a hungry man is an angry man hence the county needs to be reconstructed and crime will actually fade away.

He said;
From when I was a kid in the eighties I started hearing about ritual killing in Nigeria. Then there was no Nollywood. Hunger and poverty make people to do crime. No be Nollywood cause am.
Nollywood is only showing what happens in society. Nigerians are wallowing in extreme poverty. A hungry man is an angry man, fix the country and crime will go away. Don blame Nollywood.
